Ranging from crawling groundcovers, to shrubs, to upright evergreens, junipers have a wide variety of uses in the landscape. They can be found in a range of colors including blue, gold, and deep green, lending year-round color to the landscape. Foliage is scale-like and often prickly, making it a fine choice for hedges or to reduce traffic through a landscape bed.

Durable and adaptable, junipers are an excellent choice for rocky, well-drained soils, slopes, and other challenging areas. They will tolerate drought once established, but are intolerant of wet soils. Deer resistant.
