A popular and versatile shrub, yew are an excellent choice of evergreen for areas ranging from full shade to full sun. Available in upright or spreading form, yew are most commonly seen as a low growing shrub, often used as a hedge or specimen, though they can also be found in upright forms that may get up to 15' in height. Bright red berries emerge on female plants in fall, providing ornamental value. All parts of the plant are toxic.

Plant in moist, well-drained soil for best results. Will not tolerate wet soil. Protect from harsh sun and wind to reduce threat of winter burn.
