With foliage in hues of green, red, yellow, and purple, barberry make a great specimen plant or used in masses as a hedge. Tolerant of sandy soils, will tolerate some drought once established. Performs best in full sun for more vibrant foliage color. Deer resistant.
Be sure to purchase barberry only from a reputable garden center, as some varieties are known to be invasive in Wisconsin. Concorde is one of our personal favorites!
