Spears of creamy white, fragrant flowers blanket this ornamental shrub in early summer. Foliage is glossy green, turning bright red in fall for an excellent autumnal display.

Tolerant of a wide range of soil conditions, from drought-prone areas to bogs. Best performance in moist, well-drained soil. Moderately hardy in the La Crosse area. To encourage hardiness, plant in an area that is protected from harsh winds, and mulch generously in fall.

Pollinator friendly. Deer resistant.
