Available in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors, weigela is a tried-and-trusted shrub that adds beauty to almost any landscape. Bountiful blooms in shades of pink, red, and white cover this shrub in late spring, and many will rebloom with shearing. Foliage colors available in shades of chartreuse, deep green, to rich burgundy. Varieties vary in form from large and upright to compact and spreading.

A low-maintenance, carefree shrub. Site in full sun for best results. Well-drained, moist soil is preferred. Will tolerate some drought once established. Most varieties do not require pruning, but can be cut back after blooming to shape.
