A hardy, deciduous holly shrub. Glossy green leaves turn yellow and drop in fall, revealing bright, candy-red berries that persist through the winter and provide beautiful color to a snowy landscape. Makes a fabulous specimen plant for winter months, or use as a low hedge or mass planting. Produces small, white blooms in midsummer, but is not prized for flowers. Deer resistant.

Requires moist soil in full sun to part shade. Will tolerate boggy areas, will not tolerate drought. Female plants require a male for pollination to produce berries. Plant one male to every 3-5 females.
