A member of the pea family, honeylocust have graceful, bright green foliage that has excellent golden fall color. With its strong, rounded, spreading habit and fine texture, honeylocust creates dappled shade, making it a beautiful addition to the landscape. Honeylocust are often late to leaf out in the spring, but are moderate to fast growers.

Tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions, honeylocust perform best in moist, well-drained soils in full sun. Will tolerate drought, heat, and wind once established. Nursery varieties carried at River City are thornless and seedless.
